About the Role
Reports to: Site Director
Job Goals:
Provide quality care and education to preschool-aged children.
Facilitate the development of each child through play and structured activities.
Create a comfortable and safe learning environment for children and their families.
Performance Responsibilities within Classroom:
Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
Foster positive relationships with parents and families.
Assist with meal preparation and clean-up.
Program:
Implement a well-rounded curriculum that includes language, literacy, math, science, social studies, and art.
Encourage children to learn through play and exploration.
Evaluate children's progress and communicate with families.
Foster a love for learning and a sense of academic curiosity.

Requirements
Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
12 units in ECE child development or related field.
Or 6 completed semester unitsof early childhood education and enrolled in at least 2 semester units at a college until fully qualified.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with preschool children in a formal setting.
Current CPR and first aid certification.
Knowledge and understanding of a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques.
Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum.
Good mental and physical health and stamina to work with young children in an active and engaging environment.
Ability to interact positively and respectfully with children, parents, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
Verification and transcripts of past experiences and education are required.
